2011 November 8
by Peter Hamilton

What does the Pawn Stars story tell us about how networks and producers develop, launch and sustain a smash hit?

That’s the broad question addressed to a top flight panel that we produced in New York last month.

  • This is our first step into providing the ever-expanding DocumentaryTelevision.com audience with original video about the business of the Factual video business.
  • We edited the video into 8 segments which we are sharing over 3 posts.

 The Panelists

The key players in the rise and rise of Pawn Stars generously agreed to share their experience and expertise:

  • Mary Donahue, Executive Producer, History Channel
  • Brent Montgomery, Leftfield Pictures and creator of Pawn Stars
  • Rob Miller, Peleton Entertainment, Leftfield’s agent
